This 5" colour monitor is ideal for use in cars or situations where you wish to remove the monitor from view. It has both a suction mount to put on the windscreen or a small bracket to glue to the dashboard. It uses RCA connectors for the camera and automatically comes on when it receives a video signal. It has two AV channels. The monitor will always show the last camera to be activated. If you have power to a camera it will come on and show a picture from that camera. If the second camera is powered up it will automatically switch to that camera. When then second camera loses power then it will change back to the first. Normally the one camera is powered off the ignition and the second off the positive to the reversing light. There are simple buttons on the rear of the screen to access the menu with brightness, contrast and saturation controls.
The monitor uses a 640 x 480 pixel LCD panel, has 2 AV channels and the option to be mounted on the dash or on the windscreen using a suction mount. It is suitable for use with cameras uses RCA style connectors.
We recommend the use of our DC1 to provide a stabilised voltage supply. This will protect the monitor against voltage spikes that can be an issue on some vehicles.
